This mare is definitely a producer.  She received a Speed Index of 90 on the track so you know there is some hustle here!  Her 2007 foal by Hula Guy was outstanding.  Flying Effort and Bunny Mackay are consistently found on the pedigrees of some of the top barrel horses to come out of Canada and we look forward to watching this mare’s foals live up to that reputation!  Bred to Bluestem Brave for a 2008 foal.

Sheza Tiny Jet

1984 Bay AQHA mare

This is one of my favorites.  She is 24 years old this year but you wouldn’t know it to look at her!   This is a nice, big mare that stands approximately 15.3hh and at 18 years old she weighed in at 1300lbs without being fat!  Her 2007 buckskin colt out of Hula Guy is simply awesome….There is some really solid, good old running blood in her veins!  Bred to Frenchs Hula Guy for a 2008 foal.

Value Added was a stakes winner LTE $67,127 that has produced race winners of $349,805 and performance point earners. His leading earner, Showaintenuf, a 1982 brown mare, won the 1985 Governors Cup Derby 440 yards at Los Alamitos LTE $106,191

Miss Ember Bug

Beautiful is about the best way to describe this mare.  She is 16hh, correct, powerfully built and just plain classy.  Her foals inherit her quality and presence and she is an excellent mom (milks great).  Ember Bug’s pedigree contains some legendary horses who’s blood still runs in the veins of  winners at some of the best race tracks, barrel and performance arenas in the world today.  Bred to Frenchs Hula Guy for a 2008 foal.

This is a daughter of the renowned Mr. Master Bug! Bugsy is very well put together, stands about 15hh and although she is still in great shape, you can see that she must have been a gorgeous mare in her younger days. Her last foal before we bought her was absolutely outstanding, so we are really looking forward to her first one for us.

Shesa Lone Wolf

1999 Bay Appendix mare

Lone Wolf is a full sister to Keith’s heeling horse. She stands about 15.2hh and is a very good mom.  Her second foal was the good-looking buckskin colt that we sold at the CBHI sale in 2007.  Her grandsire Docs Brandy Moon won the All-Canadian Futurity in 1988 and came back to place 2^nd in the Derby the next year.  Miss Kelsey was a very successful, well-bred sprinting TB.  See the reference to her dam Wolfe Woman on this page.  Bred to Frenchs Hula Guy for a 2008 foal.

Wolfe Woman

1979 Brown AQHA mare

This mare will be 29 this year and is still an easy keeper!  She never requires any extra and has been sound all her life. Wolfe Woman was a good saddle horse in her day and my dad says that she was probably the quickest horse on it’s feet that he has ever rode. She was never put on the barrels which in hindsight is too bad because she was a “turning machine!" While at first glance her bloodlines are not the fashionable ones we are used to seeing today, when you take a closer look; they include racetrack record-setters and many of the great founding horses of the AQHA like Leo, Three Bars, Nowata Star etc. We have no doubt that her offspring for generations to come will benefit from her strong personal traits and genetics.

This is a gorgeous, jet-black mare and those that have rode her all agree that she is possibly one of the most athletic mares they ever threw a leg over!  She started reining training as a two year old with a very successful reining trainer and he indicated that she was probably one of the nicest moving, quickest horses that he had ever rode – he also stated that “this horse picks up a lope from a stand still with more ease than any horse I have ever started”.  She could handle a fast, tight spin and make is seem effortless!  Unfortunately, an injury and then circumstance delayed her career but we are glad that she found our way into our broodmare band.  Bred to Frenchs Hula Guy for a 2008 foal.

Firewater June Bug

Red Dun AQHA Mare

Red Dun granddaughter of Bugs Alive In 75 and Firewater Flit and a great-granddaughter of  Mr Bar None and Jets Pay Day (Martha Josey's NFR barrel stallion). An intelligent mare with good feet and bone.  This mare is simply a fantastic producer!  She is a 100% color producer with buckskin, palomino and red dun offspring from four different sires thus far.  However, when you take a look at the quality of her foals – the color is just a bonus.  She consistently throws good-looking foals with straight legs, good feet, bone and substance.  Bred to Bluestem Brave for a 2008 foal.
